Major and LCTP (Local Competency Training Program) Airport List
Major and LCTP Positions Defined:
ARTCCs are authorized to assign certain facilities within their airspace a major status. ARTCCs also assign certain positions within their airspace under their Local Competency Training Plan (LCTP). These fields/positions are assigned such status due to a number of elements, including traffic levels, airspace complexity, LoA with adjacent facilities etc. Once an airport or airspace is assigned LCTP status, additional training is required by the controller to receive a certification to control at these facilities/positions.
