News: Some KBOS taxiways have been added and/or renamed; KBOS controllers now use the new taxiway designators as a standard unless you specifically request the old (default) configuration. See www.bostonartcc.net for more information

VATCAN, VATUSA and VATEUD are very excited to announce the details of our next Cross The Pond event. Once again, we invite you to join us for an unforgettable experience which is made possible only twice a year. On Saturday 24th October 2009, the skies of the North Atlantic will be filled as we come together for this years Eastbound leg, with 360 bookable slots and ad-hoc flights welcome as standard.

Pilots will be able to choose from an exciting set of departure fields consisting of

1. Boston Logan (KBOS)
2. Toronto Pearson (CYYZ)
3. Chicago OHare (KORD)
4. Philadelphia International (KPHL)

...and will be arriving at one of two arrival airports, located in Germany: Frankfurt (EDDF) and Munich (EDDM).

Departure slots will be available from 1100z, running for four hours to be inclusive of as many time zones as possible. As always, high quality air traffic control will be provided for your departure, enroute segment, and of course the Oceanic crossing. A minimum of twelve highly skilled Oceanic controllers will be online throughout the event to deliver clearances and take position reports. After leaving Oceanic airspace, dozens of European enroute controllers will guide you towards your destinations where, finally, Frankfurt and Munich will be out in full force to welcome you home.

Pilot bookings opened on October 1st at 0000z. Sorry, all slots have been taken.  If you don't already have your slot time, expect significant delays.

See you in the skies!
