In an effort to improve our training capacity, capability, efficiency and effectiveness, the Boston ARTCC is pleased to announce the appointments of Rich Bonneau (BU) and Carl Klinker (KK) as mentors. Congratulations on your appointments, and thank you for your continued dedication to the facility!

The taxiway layout at Boston Logan airport (KBOS) has changed. Affected and new taxiways include: Alpha, Alpha-1, Alpha-2, Bravo, Delta, Echo, Echo-1, Echo-2, Golf, Kilo, & Mike.

We will continue to provide ground control service consistent with the old taxiway system until new scenery is available or a pilot specifically advises the controller he/she has updated scenery and is able to accept a taxi route via the new taxiway system.

We certainly appreciate your patience as we transition to the new taxiway reconfiguration.

It's that time of the year when Cross The Pond is upon us once more! Saturday 27 March 2010 is the date to look forward to for this year's Westbound leg, and there are a host of exciting (and some new!) participating fields for you to choose from.

The fields being featured are as follows:

- Dublin, Ireland, EIDW
- Amsterdam Schiphol, Netherlands, EHAM
- Cologne-Bonn, Germany, EDDK

Arriving
- John F. Kennedy International, New York, KJFK
- Detroit Metropolitan, Michigan, KDTW
- Washington Dulles International, Washington, DC, KIAD

Right now, preliminary planning for departures is a 5 hour departure window starting at 11Z. As such, Boston ARTCC will be staffed by 15Z / 11am and run officially for 7 hours to 22Z / 6pm (the extra tail accounts for time required to move through the ZBW airspace as well as all the non-official-event traffic that will depart at the end of the official event).

Nof flying in the actual event? The Boston ARTCC will have several fields open for your enjoyment. Come fly with us! We look forward to seeing you there!
